WHAT PARTICIPANTS ARE SAYING
โNurturing and an anchor for my own freestyle practice in a whirlwind of a year. Im always looking forward to the next session. It feels so good to know that I can have trust in the facilitators, that they will guide me through a beautiful, often really needed session, no matter how I feel before or what else is going on in my life.โ

โI couldn't have wished for a better way to end the day. so grateful for this space and to be able to move with like-minded movers.โ
โ Drya
โExactly the kind of community that holds space for you and I to come as we are. I'm wrecked from a really intense week, but I still showed up, and felt instantly lighter.โ
โ Alisa
โI love being surrounded by freestyle people. thank you for witnessing me and being such a fun, safe place to explore.โ
โ Ash
โthe freestyle collective is a place for 'communal creativity'. The varied facilitation, the sharing of thoughts & experiences, & the differing interpretations of prompts/input, all contribute to what makes the space what it is.โ
โ Anisa
โlast night we had an impromptu community class and it was so enjoyable. finding joy in dancing in conjunction with people not dancing in conjunction with me. no routine, no pressure. i love the classes provided by tfc.โ
โ Gwyn
โWhat I would have given for something like this some 5-10 years ago!โ

What opens when you allow your movement to be informed by sensation, pleasure, or curiosityโwithout deciding in advance how erotic (or not) it needs to be?
Which movements, gestures, or choices carry personal or cultural meaning for youโand what desires do they stir?
If you followed why you move the way you do instead of how it looks, what layers might reveal themselves?
Sensuality can be erotic, can be sexy, can be fluidโand it doesnโt have to be any of those things either. This chapter acknowledges and resonates with the erotic roots of pole while inviting you to explore your own relationship to your sensual body and the way it wants to move and be expressed.
We'll slow down to notice how our movement can be derived from the senses and what that evokes: pleasure, resistance, vulnerability, power, discomfort, desire. Sensual work often brings layers to the surface, and this practice invites curiosity about what bubbles up rather than rushing to shape it or explain it away.
Here, sensuality becomes a progression of listening (January's theme) โinvestigating why you choose what you choose, and clarifying what youโre actually seeking through the movement.

Does your movement have space or capacity for intensity โ and what happens when you let it build instead of forcing it?
Whatโs the difference between effort that feels charged and effort that feels jarring or overwhelming?
How do restraint, pacing, and preparation change the way power expresses itself through you?
OOMPH isnโt about pushing harderโitโs about letting energy arrive.
This chapter explores the many ways intensity can be cultivated: through restraint, through gradual ignition, through elasticity, timing, and choice.
We'll play with the full spectrum of force โ slow burn and simmer, vigor and explosiveness.
Alongside structured explorations, we'll gather for an end-of-the-month Freestyle Night to share, witness, and feel the collective pulse. Our last Freestyle Night orbited SOFTNESS, so OOMPH becomes a new portal for sharing our movement.
SMALL GROUP COACHING
3-WEEK SERIES IN APRIL

TRACEE KAFER
Small Group Coaching โข Tuesdays 4/14, 4/21, & 4/28
7pm EST / 4pm PST (120 min)
In these three two-hour sessions weโll learn how to let the truth of what we feel shape how we move. This is about discovering the poetry in your honesty and letting genuine emotions lead the way. Great for freestylers of all kinds, particularly those looking to bring more emotional content and authenticity to their artistry โ whether bringing it to the stage or enjoying it in the privacy of their home practice.

THE CHAPTER OF LISTENING
WITH JESS & TRACEE
๐ฅ (PART 1) LISTENING FOR NO, & YES
๐ฅ (PART 2) LISTENING FOR DESIRE
๐ฅ LISTENING IN, LISTENING OUT
What becomes possible in your movement when you listen first before you respond?
How might you cultivate a creative voice that can follow your bodyโs โyesโ and honor its โnot yetโ?
Listeningโreal listeningโis its own kind of movement practice. This chapter invites you into the subtle, the honest, and the barely-there signals that shape your creative voice.
Together, weโll explore how attunement expands choice, how quiet changes the texture of improvisation, and how presence deepens connection with yourself, with space, and with whatever (or whoever) youโre moving with.

Shapeshifting asks us to embody change: to move between strength and vulnerability, stillness and wildness, human and creature, self and other. Facilitators invite play within the body through creative shape-making, character, or even archetypes โ loosening the boundaries of what movement and presence can be.

๐ฅ SOFTENING THROUGH IMAGERY
๐ฅ BECOMING SOFTNESS
*COMMUNITY FREESTYLE NIGHT (WAS LIVE ONLY)
What happens when I let myself yield, rather than push? Where do I long to soften?
How do I experience strength through gentleness or vulnerability?
This month we lean into the quiet power of softening. Softness is not weakness, but deep strength: the ability to yield, receive, and open. It can be the pause after effort, the exhale after expansion, the tenderness underneath defenses. Classes may focus on gentleness, surrender, intimacy with sensation, and finding fluidity through relaxation.

NO POLE NEEDED
THE CHAPTER OF RELEASE

๐ฅ SOFTEN & FLOW

๐ฅ ARTICULATE ANATOMY: THE HIPS
*2025 DIGEST SESH (WAS LIVE ONLY)
What am I ready to let go of? What space is created when I put something down?
How does it feel in my body to release, soften, or surrender? As the year closes, we honor the act of release โ letting go of what no longer serves, loosening our grip, and creating room for whatโs next. Facilitators explore exhalation, unwinding, cathartic movement, helping you to create space to breathe and move through the end of this year.
